amazonproof

Right, I’m glad you are reading this right now because this is probably some of the coolest FREE training that I’ve seen online in ages, from a guy who is worth listening to.

If you have zero technical skills and are looking for a method which requires no hosting, websites or traffic generation then pay….attention….now.

The following post is courtesy of Stephen Gilbert from soulweb.com

It’s not every day you come across something that can make you a full-time income from home WITHOUT having to have a website, video, or any of that jazz.

By working smart rather than hard, you can use this method to bring in thousands of dollars a month.

In fact, here’s how much one of my students has made over the last two months using this:

Watch the video to see how it works, or continue reading below:

How it works:
In essence, you are finding items on Amazon that you can sell on eBay with a mark up price, so that after eBay and Paypal fees, you have a net profit left over.

What you need:

  • An ebay account. The older the better, but if you have to make a new one that’s fine.
  • A NEW Amazon Account
  • A Paypal Account.

Alright, so what we’re going to be doing here is simple. We’re going to be finding $35+ items on Amazon (because that gets free shipping) that we can relist on ebay with a mark up profit. Then, after someone buys on ebay we buy on Amazon and ship it to them.

First things first, you need to sign up for the 30 day prime trial on your new amazon account. Be sure to select that you DO NOT want to pay the annual fee after the trial is up. You do not have to buy a prime account, but having one will help your sales automatically.

DO NOT use your own prime account for this. As at some point you will lose your prime benefits for being a ‘reseller.’

SEE, EASY!

The reason this works is because consumers are lazy and usually purchase from places they feel most comfortable shopping. This reason alone is why the method works.

Next, you need to find an item that is $35+ on Amazon. (that gets you free shipping.) Then, cross reference the item on EBAY and see if you can sell it for more for a hefty profit.

Just because an item is listed or sells at a lower price on Ebay than you would like doesn’t mean you should skip over it. Many times, sellers will be lazy and use automated software to upload their listings. because of this, if you provide a more detailed listing and a better title, your item will show up for more search results throughout Google AND ebay. Also, your item will sell at a higher price.  Why? Because consumers shop where they feel most comfortable :)

Next, you need to decide a profit margin.

I set a pretty decent profit margin. Usually, I try to make more than $8 after PayPal and eBay fees. If I find that the item is a hot seller and sells more often, I am fine with making less per item, but never under $5 profit per item.  Ebay fees are 10% of selling value, and PayPal is 4%.

Set a specific profit margin and let that be your goal when listing items.

After you’ve picked an item and decided how much you want to make… the next step is to  create a proper listing on eBay. That includes a good title and a detailed listing. Almost as if you were selling something you yourself own and have been using for years.

People want information when they visit your listing, and most won’t waste time messaging you and instead will just move on. So be sure to include plenty of details… enough details that you would buy it if you were shopping for one.

A commonly mislead belief is that the more items you list, the more money you make. However, this couldn’t be further from the truth for several reasons, but the main one is this:

Selling thousands of items at a time will take hours and hours of your time. You’ll have to deal with hundreds of customer inquiries and keep fulfilling orders each and every day. If you fall behind on this, it will hurt your feedback and reputation which will lower how many sales you make.

Remember work smart and not hard?  Well, if you do it the way I do it is much less stressful and a lot easier to maintain. You should shoot for a few hundred items listed at first, and as you find which make the most sales and which don’t make any sales, you can start trimming your listings down to the ones that only sell.  The goal is to have ~150 listings that sell regularly.

I recommend you do each listing by hand. Yes, this will take a while but the end result is worth your time and money. You can outsource this, just make sure they are doing it correctly and not using a software.

One last tip is to generally look for items that are not widely known or sold on the internet. For a lot of items, you won’t even be able to compete because the ebay seller has worked out a private deal with the company to get the item at a lower price.

Titles, Description, & Images: Titles and descriptions are easy as long as you follow my instructions.  A lot of people who use software strictly use the same Amazon title. DO NOT DO THIS.  Instead, when you list an item… for example a Refrigerator… Include the Amazon Details in the title and then ADD IN WORDS to spice it up. For example, if you were to list a Refrigerator, many times Amazon just states “(Refrigerator + brand + size + color)” in the title. If you want to list one on eBay, you would add those but also includes words like (New, Modern, College, Mini, etc). Use as many words as you can until the title is full.

When you fill out the description, be sure to include the size, the model #, material it’s made out of, power usage if any, battery types, etc. The more details you give, the more sales you’ll make.

Use every image available on Amazon for your item. The more pictures the better.

This is where the benefits of having a prime account kick in, since prime members get free 2-day shipping to all of US.

In your title / picture, advertise FREE 2-day shipping. Buyers will spend more for this alone.

After you make a sale: When you make a sale, you now need to buy the item from Amazon. Order your item using your Credit/Debit card and the billing address the card requires. For the shipping address, copy and paste the address of your buyer from eBay. That’s it! Very simple.

Common misconceptions: I’m sure you have some questions, so feel free to comment and I will respond.

1)  Will buyers be mad if they see the Amazon box? Nope, I have never had a complaint.

2) What happens if Items are out of stock on Amazon?  You will find that popular items sell out often on Amazon. So stay away from those. however, if you do end up being out of stock, there is an easy way to handle it:  CUSTOMER SERVICE!

If you treat your customers nice and be understanding it will help you ten-fold. If you respond and communicate in a timely fashion, you will never have an issue with an item being out of stock. Here is something you can say if this happens to you:  ”Hi, I am very sorry about this, but my supplier had the wrong information on how many of these were in stock. As much as I would like to wait for more to arrive, I feel the best thing to do is refund you instead. Apologies, and have a nice day.”

Then, of course, give them a refund after sending the message.

How to Scale:  They key to this method is to find a decent amount of high quality, regular selling items. If you need ideas, copy and paste the titles of any Amazon item into ebay. Make the same listings as other sellers, just make sure that yours is much better. The total amount of items you want is up to you, but at around 150 items it only takes an hour a day to maintain.

How to deal with returns: This part is simple. It is obviously up to you rather you choose to accept returns on Ebay or not. I do, because it provides satisfaction to the customer and keeps you in good standing with Paypal and Ebay.  Amazon will accept anything in a return almost so why not? If a customer doesn’t want an item, they need to pay return shipping. So go to your Amazon Account, request a return for the item, they will give you the address to return it to which you give to the buyer. Once you receive your refund, you refund the customer.
